/Story #48 is an early example of SSM’s approach to the work environment.
In October of 1998, Patrick McCoy and Ed Hostetter, were photographed at work for a Reading Eagle article about workplace attire.
The article focused on the changes in workplace attire including moving from neckties into a more casual approach to workwear.
The article references SSM’s full-time casual-dress policy. We were proud to be one of the early organizations in our region to adopt this approach to employee dress. We’ve always been about thinking outside the box, and making work a place where employees are comfortable and happy to do the things they do best.
