For story #20 we’re celebrating a former SSM employee that served as President of EPWPCOA in 1980, James Lecker.
On the left in this photo is James Lecker during his time as EPWPCOA President. After serving as the manager of Penn Township in Hanover, James worked as a wastewater consultant for SSM until he retired in 2007. During his career, he was well respected in the field of wastewater management, serving as President of EPWPCOA in 1980, and was a lifetime member of the Operators Association.
For 75 years EPWPCOA has been active in meeting the networking and training needs of wastewater operators in the eastern half of Pennsylvania. Today, 8 of our employees are active members of EPWPCOA and SSM continues to be a sponsor for the organization's many events and continuing education opportunities.
Daniel McBrien, CEM has been approved as a Tune-Up Specialist by the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Sustainability.
