Story #19 is all about 1047 North Park Road.

In June of 2003 SSM finalized the purchase of the property that would serve as our new, expanded, Wyomissing office. The building was the former Carpenter Technology Corp. headquarters.

SSM's purchase of the property was necessary to accommodate continued growth and need for a state-of-the-art facility. The building, twice the size of SSM’s previous offices, provided the campus-like environment as well as high-tech capacity that was needed to continue to grow our firm's operations.

Our main Reading office is still at this same address, celebrating 19 years this month. But North Park Road is just one of our 4 locations, the others being: Lehigh Valley, Lancaster, and West Chester.

SPOTTS, STEVENS AND McCOY BUYS CARPENTER TECHNOLOGY HEADQUARTERS

Wyomissing, Pa. (June 24, 2003) – Spotts, Stevens and McCoy, Inc. (SSM) announced today that it will move and expand into the former Carpenter Technology Corp. (NYSE:CRS) headquarters at 1047 N. Park Road, Wyomissing, Pa. The purchase of the property was finalized today.

The move, expected to take place later this summer, is necessary to accommodate SSM’s continued growth and need for a state-of-the-art facility. This building is twice the size of SSM’s current offices and provides the video conferencing, high-tech training facilities and campus-like environment required to support and continue to grow its operations.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is slated for mid-August to mark the official opening of the facility.

SSM’s existing facilities at 345 N. Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, Pa., will be offered for lease or sale following the move.

Carpenter has moved its headquarters to 2 Meridian Blvd., in Wyomissing, in previously leased space at the Treeview Corporate Center.
